Executive Team
Nigel J L Rothband – Chief Executive
Nigel has worked in the retail industry for over 30 years. He started his career with Bhs, before moving to Arcadia Group where he spent 14 years in various senior positions. For the 3 years prior to joining Retail Trust Nigel was Managing Director – Retail, at The Body Shop.
Nigel has a long association with the charity and was a member of the Retail Trust London Ball committee for a number of years before joining Retail Trust as the Chief Executive in November 2003. Nigel sits on the Advisory Board of the Oxford Summer School which is organised by bira.
Rob Mansell - Chief Operating Officer
Rob joined Retail Trust in 2006 after spending 15 years working as a Financial Director for three FMCG companies, including Baco Consumer Products Ltd, HD Plastics Ltd and Ilford Ltd. Rob is responsible for all matters concerning finance, charitable services and IT at Retail Trust.
Retna Thevarajah - Finance Director
Retna joined Retail Trust in January 2007. Before joining Retail Trust, she had spent five years with Ernst & Young London working on projects in financial services and a further five years in line management roles with Euroclear in the City of London. After serving as the charity’s Financial Controller for three years, she was promoted to Finance Director in January 2012. Her recent involvement with CASS Business School’s charity accounting programme demonstrates her continued commitment to the sector. She is responsible for finance and company secretarial services at Retail Trust.
