Well, imagine no longer! Retail Trust offers redundant retailers the opportunity a career coach where you can discuss anything you want relating to your redundancy. You can have up to three telephone conversations at a time suitable for you and your coach.
Our career coaches are the best in the business and can help you decide what you want to do in the future and how to get there. You can apply for up to three one-hour telephone coaching sessions, worth over £300.

Patrick developed the Rework programme for Retail Trust, wrote the Resolving Redundancy Guide and regularly coaches on the Rework programme and leads redundancy workshops for retailers and individuals. He has worked since 2006 as an executive coach and change consultant; is a Visiting Lecturer at Brighton Business School; and a business mentor for the Profitnet Plus programme run by Brighton University. Before starting independent practice, Patrick was Global Head of Supply Chain and Logistics Development for The Body Shop, leading global projects, strategy and change in 52 countries. Patrick started his retail career as a Saturday assistant at Threshers in 1983 and was subsequently a Director of one of the first Apple Centres. Recent clients include Burberry, Compassion in World Farming, Morrisons and O2.
Over the last 16 years Paul has worked with over 100 of the world’s leading companies. He is a veteran of training and development consultancy, delivering a wide range of programmes, including: Leadership Development; Customer Service; Career Development; Graduate Induction and The Hero’s Journey. The latter has assisted dozens of Senior Executives and organisations to find and travel the journey which truly offers them passion and purpose. His career has spanned 30 years, first as an International gymnast, then as a successful actor/performer (West End); next as a writer (BBC radio/TV & West End) and finally as a trainer and coach. This eclectic background is central to his approach. His workshops and coaching sessions are original, effective and fun. Paul is a certified NLP Master Practitioner and Business coach.
Stuart Carter is a professionally qualified and experienced Manager and Engineer with specific training in both Career Management & Coaching. Over the last twenty years his work has included a broad range of business sectors, working with managers and team members, covering a variety of personal and professional development issues.
Sue hasworked until 2004 in senior HR and Learning & Development roles at Marks & Spencer. She now works with organisations internationally, across a very wide range of sectors, and is a coach for the Retail Trust Rework programme. Sue has extensive recruitment experience - recently Sue recruited a CEO for a charity, trained senior airline managers in interview techniques and ran a programme of interviewing skills for out- of- work executives in her local borough. She is a very experienced facilitator, used to designing and delivering workshops for diverse groups of up to 50 people; and aims always tomake a difference using fun, dynamic, accelerated learning methods.
Judith has over 20 years experience of senior retail management, with a distinguished career at Debenhams, as well as a consultant to many other UK and European retailers. Judith now runs a thriving counselling and coaching practice, Thriving Ivy offering bespoke coaching and counselling programmes for business clients and private individuals. She advises Retail Trust on counselling practice and ethics; and is an active coach on the ReWork programme, supporting attendees both during and after many of the London workshops,
particularly in situations where personal and practical support needs arise
Andy has an outstanding pedigree in retail as a former Managing Director of Arcadia Menswear and, before that, Managing Director of Evans. He has also worked during his 30 year retail career with GUS, Gola, Debenhams and New Look. Since 2007, Andy has embarked on the next stage of his career, bringing his insight and vast commercial experience to the fields of coaching and as a consultant on business development projects. Andy has been one of the most active coaches and facilitators on the Rework programme, helping people to navigate the retail job market and to discover “what shaped peg am I”.
Clare, The Retail Champion, is the owner-director of several businesses servicing the retail sector including Retail Acumen, The Retail Conference and e-mphasis Internet Marketing. Clare has proven that by using online networks including LinkedIn, businesses can achieve exceptional results. Clare has established an impressive network of 2850+ direct connections, a great reputation with over 110 recommendations and attributes almost a 7 figure sum of new business within the last 5 years to her LinkedIn network! As a speaker, mentor, consultant and trainer, Clare shares her expertise in developing strategies with retailers of all sizes to increase profit, customer base, revenue streams & channels to market. Clare has made regular guest appearances on BBC radio and TV, and has contributed to various retail-focused articles and opinion pieces.
