If Olympic fever has swept through you but it hasn’t driven you to get your trainers on...yet...let us give you some ideas for getting moving.
Exercise helps to burn fat and lose weight – of course – but also has far reaching effects like helping to manage depression and stress, while reducing the risks of certain cancers and diseases.
And there are plenty of ways to exercise without hitting the gym, especially in the warmer months...
For example, grab some kids and get outside, or if you're in distance walk to one of the many places showing the Olympic events to soak up some of the atmosphere. Get your garden looking luscious for when those summer days do finally stick around (we hope)...or just put some tunes on and get dancing.
How about taking the opportunity to wash your windows – it gives a great aerobic workout – perhaps you can offer to do your neighbours’ too – they’ll thank you for it! And then you can move onto the floors…
