Mrs Solomon celebrates her centenary year!

Mrs Solomon, resident on the Retail Trust Crookfur Estate in the Care Home in Glasgow, turned 100 years old this week. Retail Trust Chief Executive Nigel J L Rothband attended a tea party held in Mrs Solomon’s honour where her son Melvyn Seymour presented her with a letter from the Queen.

Mrs Solomon is a relatively new resident at the Care Home having moved there in September 2009. She worked as a tailor for Winetrobe Clothing for eight years in the sewing department.

Though originally from Copenhagen, Mrs Solomon was brought up in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. She has two children, two grandchildren and even two great- grandchildren who were also there to help her celebrate her big day.

See what Nigel says in his blog about the day, see some more photos and read the full press release here.
