Moores House is set in its own landscaped gardens next to historic St Mary’s on the Hill Church in Walton Village in Liverpool. Ten minutes from Liverpool city centre, this estate is well serviced with transport, shops and other local services. Though set in a quiet area, it is close to a thriving high street full of traditional shops.
The estate offers extra care sheltered housing accommodation and a support team is on site to provide housing related support. Care is provided by an outside agency.
1 and 2 bedroom purpose built flats accommodate disabled access with an emergency assistance system in each flat, as well as nightly security.
Facilities and Activities
Our Tenants' Association plays an active part in the decision making process for Moores House. There is a real community feel with regular morning coffee and afternoon tea, bingo, quizzes and games, arts and crafts, film afternoons and race days. Residents are encouraged to keep fit with exercise classes, and to enjoy activities such as pamper days and clothes shows. There are also opportunities to visit places of local interest including farms, markets, historical buildings and restaurants.
The dining room serves a three course lunch every day and there is a TV lounge with its own kitchen facilities. A much larger back lounge, also with kitchen facilities, is used for activities and is available for tenants to use on special occasions. There is also a shop that is stocked with products from Asda, which is the shop of choice of our tenants. We also have laundry facilities, a computer room and a hairdressing salon.
