Mill Hill Estate is the oldest of Retail Trust’s retirement communities. Half a mile from the centre of Mill Hill in North London, this beautiful estate is set in an attractive environment next to a green belt. The Thameslink and Northern Line Train Services are near to the estate and local buses stop outside the gated entrance.
Supported living services are available to all and following assessment, personal care is delivered by a care team from the London Borough of Barnet and district nurses visit as required. An emergency call system operates for out of hours’ emergencies, which gives access to Lifeline Barnet, support staff, maintenance and the Supported Housing Manager if necessary.
All flats and some cottages are available for couples, and pets are allowed in some properties at the manager’s discretion.
Facilities and Activities
We encourage residents to organise, or participate in, a wide range of social activities including indoor bowls, bingo, painting and craft classes, musical events, theatre and other outings, as well as complementary therapies and reminiscence events.
The Community Centre is the heart of the estate and the restaurant provides daily hot lunches and a focal point to encourage socially isolated residents to integrate in the community. Other facilities include a computer room, hair salon, library for residents, and a shop. A chiropodist and reflexologist also visit regularly.
