Location
Retail Trust’s Crookfur Retirement Estate is surrounded by 13 acres of beautiful garden grounds. Situated within the Newton Mearns area of Glasgow, one of Scotland’s most affluent and sought after places to live, Retail Trust’s Scottish retirement estate is managed by a caring team of on-site staff. The estate offers a variety of accommodation for single retirees and couples to live independently, which incorporate sheltered housing,Extra Care apartments and a care home.

Transport
A regular bus service directly outside the estate provides residents with easy access to the nearest shopping centre and local amenities. A social centre is 100 yards away, a GP 200 yards away, and with the local shopping centre and post office just a short distance away from the estate, you could have all you need on your doorstep.

Support
All residents at Crookfur are offered ongoing support provided by our dedicated team of staff on-site, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All of our residents have access to a 24 hour emergency call system. In addition there are several health centres in the area for our residents to use. Our Crookfur Care Home, located next to the sheltered and Extra Care accommodation, offers 40 single occupancy en-suite rooms and one respite room. Care is also provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week by our own team of trained care staff. Our team are very experienced in welfare benefits and can offer advice and support to all residents to help maximise their entitlements.

Security
Your security is very important to us and that is why at Crookfur we offer 24/7 on-site support for our sheltered and Extra Care residents. An emergency call system is in place for any out of hours emergencies, which gives our residents 24/7 access to support staff, our maintenance team, and  the Estate Manager.

Services
We offer a range of services for our residents at Crookfur including daily hot lunches served throughout the week. You could relax in the conservatory – a beautiful, comfortable and spacious room where you could unwind with neighbours or friends while taking in the beautiful grounds.

Activities
The Crookfur estate is a vibrant community and residents take an active part in deciding how things happen. They run independent clubs and are consulted on matters that affect them. The Community Centre at Fraser Hall is utilised by the estate’s residents who organise a range of clubs including carpet bowls, keep fit, bingo, games, film shows and concerts. We also have an Activities Organiser who encourages and support residents to take part in a variety of activities and outings.

Facilities
Our Crookfur Estate offers a computer room and a library as well as a communal laundry. Maybe you like to be pampered? With a visiting hairdresser, beautician and chiropodist on-site, you can always look your best. Perhaps you’d like to travel further afield with your new friends on the estate? Join the community and venture out with Retail Trust. The estate has a disabled people-carrier as well as a minibus that provides twice weekly shopping trips for residents as well as excursions and outings for you to enjoy.

Features
As you would expect, all cottages at Crookfur benefit from double glazing, a fitted wardrobe in each bedroom, a telephone and television connection point in each sitting room as well as a fitted smoke alarm. All Extra Care flats benefit from a wet-floor bathroom and all properties have central heating throughout. Each cottage has a small exclusive area to the front and rear, providing a place for potted plants, relaxing and enjoying your retirement years.

Event Hire
Various areas within the Crookfur Estate are available for hire for private functions, meetings, exhibitions, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings and other bespoke events. The venues can cater for groups up to 150 people and catering prices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are available upon request. Both half day and full day hire is available.
