Location
Located in the leafy suburb of North West London, and half a mile from the centre of Mill Hill, is Retail Trust’s longest established retirement community. The beautifully landscaped and award winning Marshall Hall retirement estate has been honoured with an award of excellence from HRH The Prince of Wales in every aspect – architecture, conservation including craftsmanship, and respect for old fabric and design.

Transport
This stunning estate with 70 homes on-site is set in a picturesque environment next to a green belt so you can be close to nature whilst also having access to local buses which stop outside the gated entrance. First Capital Connect, Thameslink trains and the Northern Line Underground station are also a short distance away making it accessible for your friends and family to visit.

Support
At Marshall Estate you could benefit from supported living services, and following assessment, personal care can be delivered by a care team from the London Borough of Barnet. District nurses can also visit as required. All of our one or two bedroom flats and cottages are suitable for single retirees as well as couples, and pets are also allowed in some properties at the discretion of Marshall Estate management.

Security
Peace of mind is paramount at Marshall Estate and that is why we offer an emergency call system for any out of hours emergencies, which gives our residents 24/7 access to Lifeline Barnet, support staff, our maintenance team and our Supported Housing Manager.

Services
We offer a whole host of services for our residents at Marshall Estate including delicious dinners served on-site at Marshall’s cafe, where daily hot lunches are served throughout the week. You could also pick up all of your everyday basics  in our on-site shop, which is run by our residents.

Activities
Many of our residents like to keep active so we offer a full programme of daily activities in our Community Centre – the heart of the estate. Residents can choose from tai-chi, bingo, painting, indoor bowling and much more. Perhaps you’d like to venture further afield with your new friends on the estate? How would you like attending musical events, theatre, BBQs and other outings with likeminded people?

Facilities
If you like to keep your mind active in your retirement years, we have an on-site library, computer suite, an activity room and reminiscence events for you to enjoy. As standard we also offer a range of complementary therapies for residents at Marshall Estate. A chiropodist and reflexologist visit regularly and we also have a hairdressing salon for you to relax and unwind in. A laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board are also available for you to use on-site to save space in your new home.

As you would expect, all flats and cottages benefit from double glazing, a fitted wardrobe in each bedroom, a telephone and television connection point in each bedroom and sitting room as well as a fitted smoke alarm. A wet-floor bathroom is fitted for your convenience at Marshall Estate, as well as central heating throughout your new home.

Within Retail Trust’s Retirement Estate in Mill Hill, we also offer lifts to all floors in the flats, a place to store mobility scooters and cycles, car parking, landscaped gardens, an estate manager, the care and assistance of our dedicated staff and much more. We provide help and support to people whatever challenges they face. While retail offers unparalleled opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds, it has many people on or near the minimum wage, which currently stands at £6.08 for workers aged 21 and over.
