Location
In October 2006, Retail Trust bought the site formerly owned by the Humphrey Booth Housing Association located in Shelmerdine Gardens, Salford. Retail Trust & the Moores family invested £8.4 million into the renamed development Moores House, Salford. Salford is our most recent development where we provide Extra Care, affordable, high-quality homes, for life, for people retired from retail. The Moores House Extra Care retirement estate is managed by on-site by our own staff and is set within beautifully landscaped grounds. The one-bedded apartments throughout the estate are suitable for single people or couples.

Transport
This estate with 50 stunning apartments is set in a picturesque environment, where you can be close to nature whilst also having access to local buses stops outside the Estate itself. Buses run to destinations throughout the City of Salford, across Greater Manchester and further afield.

Support
All residents at Salford are offered ongoing support provided by our dedicated team 7 days a week. All of our residents have access to a 24 hour emergency call system. Care is provided by an on-site care provider. Our team are experienced in welfare benefits and can offer advice and support to all residents to help maximise their entitlements. They will escort residents to appointments and signpost them to services within the community.

Security
Your security is very important to us and that is why at Salford we offer 24/7 on-site support for our Extra Care residents. All residents have access to the emergency call system for any out of hours emergencies, which gives access to support staff, maintenance, as well as our Estate Manager.

Services
The estate provides accommodation and support that is tailor-made so that each resident can maintain a lifestyle that is as independent as possible with a range of support services. We offer a range of services for our residents at Salford including delicious hot lunches served in our restaurant 7 days a week. Breakfasts/snacks are available upon request. You could relax in our residents’ lounge – a beautiful, comfortable and vibrant room where you can unwind with neighbours or friends while taking in the beautiful grounds. For those who prefer peace and quiet there is an upstairs terrace.

Activities
Residents on our Salford estate take part in a variety of activities as part of our daily programme to ensure all of our residents really experience the benefits of living in a community. Activities include curling, healthy hips and hearts, art classes, tai-chi, hand and arm massages, bingo, games afternoons and much more.

Facilities
The newly developed Salford estate includes a new state of the art Community Centre for our residents which includes a restaurant, activity room, shop, I.T facilities, assisted bathing room, hairdressers, and a health and well-being room for visiting therapists. The facilities offer an active and a stimulating environment for the residents, their friends and relatives.

Event Hire
Various areas within the Salford Estate are available for hire for private functions, meetings, exhibitions, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings and other bespoke events. The venues can cater for 20-80 people and catering prices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are available upon request. Both half day and full day hire is available.
