Employee Assistance Programme
Retail Trust works in partnership with organisations that are connected to the retail industry to provide an employee assistance programme (EAP). Together we promote the availability of the free and confidential Retail Trust Helpline 0808 801 0808. The Helpline is available for all staff who may face difficulties and need confidential advice and support on any issue, including personal, family, home, health, finance and work related problems.
Through this service, employees can speak to our sensitive in-house staff who are trained to discuss any issue and signpost to other specialist organisations. Retail Trust may also organise free counselling, legal or debt advice, and financial assistance, as well as providing bursaries for career development and advice on redundancy through our ReWork programme.
For employers, Retail Trust works with organisations to increase awareness of the Helpline through jointly branded communications such as staff handbooks, magazines, training courses and dedicated web pages. We ask for a minimal charitable donation of £2 per every employee in the organisation. This donation may be in line with your Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.
The Retail Trust employee assistance programme:
- Enhances your employee benefits package and positions your company as a caring and responsible employer
- Can be used by all staff including managers as a source of advice and support
- Provides Critical Incident Support if a distressing incident occurs in the workplace
- Is highly cost effective compared with commercial EAP providers.
“Harrods have had a long standing relationship with the Retail Trust, from its days as Cottage Homes through to the modern charity that it is today. Our management team are truly grateful for the support and guidance that has been provided to our employees over many years.”
