The retail sector employs over three million people and is the largest private sector employer in the UK. While retail offers unparalleled opportunities and career growth for people from diverse backgrounds, it has many people on or near the minimum wage. When something goes wrong, these people can be very vulnerable.
Donations of any kind are crucial to the work we do and enable us to continue supporting those in retail who need us. Donations fund our Helpline, providing assistance and services to the people of our industry.
We also welcome gifts of your time (volunteering) – perhaps for an event, at a retirement estate, or helping with mailings or administration.
If you can spare just £5 each month - 16p a day - you can make a huge difference to the lives of people in need.
You can make a regular or one-off donation by using the donate online facility or if you would prefer, send a postal donation to the address below. You can donate by cheque and download a donation form to accompany the cheque, which should be made payable to ‘Retail Trust’. If you are a UK tax payer you can also Gift Aid your donation. This means that we can reclaim the tax you have already paid on your gift, increasing your donation by up to 28% at no extra cost to you.
