While one in four adults in the UK will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime, we believe we should be there #forthefour in four colleagues who will experience a setback or difficult life event. 

The money raised through #forthefour will support the emotional, physical, vocational and financial wellness of those in retail and the supporting service industries, and their families, through:

  • Financial grants to help with food, essential bills, childcare and other necessities
  • Telephone and online counselling to help those with stress and anxiety
  • Upskilling and retraining for those facing redundancy or seeking a new role
  • Online self-help tools and resources through
  • A free to access three-day programme of content available to everyone involved with retail. The virtual event will help equip our colleagues with the skills to manage their emotional, physical, vocational and financial wellbeing.

We have received some incredible support from a number of retailers including the John Lewis Partnership, TJX Europe and Pets at Home.

There are many ways you can support retailTRUST from one-off donations through to regular commitments.

One-off donation and regular giver

If you’d like to make a one-off donation, you can do a bank transfer using the bank details below:

Please add a reference to the transfer if you are donating towards a specific event or campaign.

To become a regular giver, this can be a weekly or monthly donation, which ever you prefer. Set up a direct debit using the same bank details as above.

To make your donation go further you can complete our Gift Aid Declaration Form. Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by 25%. So, when you donate, even more money goes to retailTRUST and it won't cost you anything extra.

Set up a payroll giving scheme

Payroll giving is an easy and tax efficient way for your employees to give to charity. The donation is deducted from an employee’s salary before tax, so it costs an employee less to give more. For example, if an employee gives £10 per month, it will only cost them £8, and for a higher rate tax payer, it will only cost £6.

A payroll giving scheme is a cost effective way to raise funds for retailTRUST and shows your staff that you, as an employer, are committed to their wellbeing. Even very small donations from your staff are essential to our work.

Buying something for yourself or a loved one feels great, but buying something and giving back to those in need feels even better. From adding a donation to a purchase, recycling your unwanted goods or buying a product which gives a percentage to a chosen charity, there are a range of ways to support us.

Leave a donation in memory

Your family and friends will be your first priority but if you decide to leave something in your will, please think of leaving retailTRUST a legacy. Your generosity will make a real difference to people’s lives and we would be happy to acknowledge your support.

A gift in memory will help us to support those in need and there are lots of different ways to give. For example, tribute funds are a wonderful way to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one, friend or colleague while also helping the charity. We can help you to set up a tribute fund where you can invite your friends, family and colleagues to donate.
