Individual challenges and team building events are a fantastic way to manage your wellbeing while raising funds for charity at the same time.
Running a marathon for retailTRUST
Working in retail for 25 years, Asda Llanelli’s General Store Manager Adam Thomas knows first-hand how important the retailTRUST services are to the industry.
When Adam changed his lifestyle and started running, the one race he really wanted to run was the Virgin Money London Marathon. We paid Adam’s entrance fee and Adam ran the marathon for the Trust.
"I applied for a charity position as I’ve worked in retail for 25 years. I started my career pushing trolleys and have been fortunate to come across some fantastic people in this time. The one lesson I have learned from the retail industry is that people are everything and the mission of retailTRUST really embodies this."
Cycling 100 miles from London to Surrey
John Dalton, Founder of Innovative Development Solutions | Uniquely Different, spends his time working with people and organisations on coaching, team development, change management and leadership.
John decided to cycle the Prudential RideLondon to Surrey to raise vital funds for retailTRUST. Avid cycler John would cycle around 100 miles a week but he hadn’t yet attempted 100 miles in one go.
“Training for me started in March which I really enjoyed. I have cycled all my life but never for endurance. I took part in the challenge for retailTRUST and raised approximately £500. A highlight for me was the cycle through London as I got to see the city up close and personal. I am aiming to race again in the future and I am keen to get a team of people to do it with me!”
