About the role

This is an exciting time for retailTRUST and the New Business Development Manager will have a key role in its future, how the Trust is perceived by the most influential businesses and leaders and the scale of the Trust’s impact in the sector. 

This is a new and important role with the post-holder responsible for developing, implementing and achieving our customer growth plan. We are looking for a New Business Manager with experience in a subscription style business development role to join us and take on the following key task:

  • Develop, implement and achieve a customer acquisition growth plan in line with agreed new business budgets.
  • Identify client’s needs and ensure the alignment of our Wellbeing Services to the client’s staff’s wellbeing needs throughout the life cycle.
  • Create a solid revenue structure for continued Client growth.
  • Proactively build client relationships, by delivering highly successful campaigns and maximising revenue streams for Wellbeing services.
  • Establish and maintain excellent client relationships through regular close contact, including face-to-face meetings, telephone and e-mail communication, ensuring that relationships lead to achieving the defined client financial KPIs and success factors.
  • Achieve (or over-achieve) revenue target and activity key performance indicators (KPIs).

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a background in B2B information subscription sales.
  • Has a proven track record of winning wellbeing/healthcare/ Employee Assistance Programs and developing major key accounts, within the Healthcare sector.
  • Has demonstrable experience of successfully employing a consultative selling approach.
  • Gained experience within online/digital healthcare (having sold B2B in a client environment or a communications agency).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and is able to present in an articulate and engaging manner.  
  • Ability to network at all levels – internally and externally.
  • An ability to identify client’s key business objectives, research and analyse new business opportunities and respond with bespoke proposals.
  • Highly competent negotiation skills and techniques.
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated.
  • Results oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to work independently while keeping direct supervisors abreast of account status.
  • Excellent pipeline and time management skills.
