Chief People Officer, Pret a Manger
Ed Evans joined Pret a Manger in 2023, where he leads the global people function as chief people officer, supporting Pret’s 13,000 employees in over 20 countries across over 750 shops. He is also a trustee of the Pret Foundation, which supports those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness through the provision of surplus food and career opportunities.
He started his career in executive search with Odgers Berntdson, before moving into HR with Jack Wills and then KFC in the UK. He moved to Louisville, Kentucky, to take up the HR Director role there, before a move to California as HR Director for Taco Bell’s International business, supporting the organisation to expand from being US-dominated to opening over 1,000 restaurants across 27 countries.
