Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Pete joined the Retail Trust in December 2021, bringing with him a career built across some of the world’s leading financial institutions.
Prior to joining the Retail Trust, Pete held senior executive roles at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Barclays and Nordea. He began his career in product and business-area account management before progressing into COO-level positions spanning risk and financial crime. His final role in banking was chief operating officer for financial crime at Nordea in Copenhagen, one of Northern Europe’s largest financial services groups.
At the Retail Trust, Pete leads the organisation’s finance, HR, governance, risk, compliance and property functions, bringing institutional-grade rigour to a charity dedicated to making a real difference in people’s lives.
Outside work, Pete is a committed sportsman. He has played senior-level cricket and maintains a scratch golf handicap. He believes that the discipline, teamwork and composure under pressure demanded by sport are every bit as formative to leadership as boardroom experience.
