Nine years ago, Claire gave birth prematurely to a son with Down’s Syndrome - an experience that reshaped her life and ignited a passion for disability advocacy. Drawing on her background in performance and teaching, she now speaks across media and live platforms - including ITV’s This Morning, BBC Radio 2 and LBC - bringing honesty, insight, and heart to conversations around disability.
In her talk, The Power of Different, Claire explores how lived experience with disability can unlock new ways of thinking, leading to greater empathy, resilience, and connection—both personally and professionally. With honesty and humour, she highlights the value of inclusive hiring, the reality of life as a caregiver, and how embracing difference can transform workplace culture, strengthen teams, and deepen customer relationships.
