Chairman, EG Group and Zenith Automotive
Stuart Rose has worked in retail for over 50 years. He joined Marks & Spencer as a management trainee in 1972. After leaving M&S in 1989, he held executive roles and directorships at the Burton Group, Argos, Booker/Iceland and Arcadia Group, before returning to M&S in 2004 as Chief Executive. He subsequently chaired Ocado, Asda and MAF Retail and is currently Chairman of EG Group and Zenith Automotive, President of The Scar Free Foundation, and Patron of The Fashion Retail Academy. Stuart was knighted in 2008 for services to the retail industry and corporate social responsibility and granted a life peerage in August 2014.
