retailTRUST is offering free access to their online learning platform from 17 to 23 June 2019 to support your personal and professional development.

Festival of Learning Week, which was previously called Adult Learners’ Week, celebrates lifelong learning. The aim of the awareness campaign is to inspire individuals to engage with learning by highlighting the benefits and celebrating the achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives.

The week is therefore, an ideal opportunity to raise awareness of the learning opportunities and digital resources that are available to employees who work in the retail sector and supporting service industries. This is particularly relevant in the current climate where it is important to keep your skills up-to-date, especially for those individuals who may be facing redundancy or a change in their roles.

To support the current vocational needs of the retail workforce, retailTRUST has been working closely with Ufi Charitable Trust to offer a wide range of personal and professional development resources through their new wellbeing site myrtwellbeing.org.uk

From developing core skills to help you at work and home, to mapping out your next career move, through to guidance for managers and leaders, there really is a wealth of content to support your development needs.

Stephen Hinde, Community Manager at Ufi Charitable Trust, stated: “We are proud to support the work being done by retailTRUST as they have identified a genuine issue facing the retail workforce across the UK. The Trust’s goal of providing those at risk of redundancy access to a flexible online vocational learning platform aligns with our mission which is to deliver better skills to more adults across the UK through innovative uses of digital technology.”

Amy Prendergast, Head of People and Vocational Learning Services at retailTRUST, said: “We are committed to supporting individuals to get into work, progress with their careers and develop new skills. We are delighted to offer free access to our newly developed wellbeing site during Festival of Learning Week 2019. Our site is designed to be personalised to assist individuals throughout their careers as well as providing key resources to support employees to upskill or re-skill into alternative employment within the retail sector. With over 300 pieces of digital content to support an individual’s personal and professional development, we ensure that employees are able to achieve a fulfilling and rewarding career.”
