Have you been affected by the recent storms?
Grants to support employees and independent business owners
We’ve all seen the havoc wreaked by the two storms last month, which has left devastating damage. Many people now face huge clean up and repair bills.
The Trust has set aside £50,000 to help those employees and independent business owners who have been affected. If you, or someone you know, is facing hardship, they can apply for a financial grant to assist them during this difficult time.
"I am a single mother of two and have been staying at a bed and breakfast with my children as our rented property was affected by flooding. I found out about retailTRUST through a colleague and they have granted £950 to help me with food, paying the bed and breakfast, and clothing for my children. Without the Trust's generosity, I have no idea what I would have done. I would recommend retailTRUST, as they really helped me in this difficult time and it was a very easy process."
Our Head of Wellbeing Cliff Lee states: “Storms Ciara and Dennis have had a huge impact across the UK and caused some of the worst winter flooding in recent times. As the trade charity for the sector, we are committed to helping those employees and independent businesses who are facing financial hardship as a result of the recent flooding. To date we have already supported four individuals to help them get back on their feet. If you have been affected, please do get in touch with us.”
To help us process your grant application quickly we will require the following information to be included:
