#TwoPointSixChallenge to support the charity sector during COVID-19
Thank you to everyone who took part in a #TwoPointSixChallenge last week, it was great to see so many people getting involved.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a widespread effect on the charity sector with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of income through fundraising events. The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April 2020, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019.
In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country came together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help save the UK’s charities.
retailTRUST colleagues participated in daily challenges during the week commencing 27 April. Our colleagues at New Look also got involved as part of the New Look Gives charity partnership.
Here are some of the videos and photos that were taken during the week:
Day one saw colleagues making cards, cakes, origami animals and lots more.
On day two, despite it being a soggy day, many of us left the house and went for a jog!
On day three, we decided to have a game of virtual catch. How good are your catching skills?
On day four, we climbed Teallach the 26th highest mountain in the British Isles!
The team at New Look have raised hundreds of pounds so far. They completed some creative challenges, including 26 cartwheels in a row, doggy dancing, and even some techie tricks from IT! Here are a few pictures of the New Look colleagues getting involved.
Thank you again to everyone who took part! If you would like to get involved and support retailTRUST, email us at [email protected]
