SSP are there #forthefour in four colleagues who need them

retailTRUST wellbeing customers SSP have prioritised the wellbeing of their colleagues during the pandemic. They focused on activities and events to try and encourage communication and a sense of community while having to manage furlough and home working like many other businesses.

One of the initiatives they used was a companywide wellbeing week.

“Recently here at SSP we have hosted our first ever Wellbeing Week.

“A week of wellbeing activities that could be offered to the UK & Ireland SSP population.

“We ended up hosting 17 online sessions throughout the week of 8 -12 February.

“Topics covered, health and exercise, Yoga, home baking, financial health, mental health awareness, mindfulness, nutrition and art tutorials.

“We also had a couple of virtual coffee sessions - book club and box set sharing sessions where colleagues from around the business logged in and shared their favourite novels or binge-worthy box sets in a relaxed forum.

“The hosts were a mix of internal colleagues offering their time and skills, along with external hosts who saw the value in SSP running this event and offered their support, expertise and knowledge throughout the week.

“The week was really well received and attended and we are now underway planning the wellbeing strategy for the business and how we can ensure that employee wellbeing becomes embedded within our culture.”

SSP’s wellbeing week is just one of the fantastic ways our customers have shown their colleagues they are there #forthefour.
